Grief Gatherings for April - Dec 2026
It has been a while since I held grief ceremonies, there has been this proliferation of grief offerings in the world and I have been somewhat relieved (I must say) after decades of holding grief spaces that others are now stepping up and holding them.
I also really miss holding regular grief tending spaces and I am rather good at it. In fact, might I go as far as to say... one of the best?
It takes commitment to hold grief spaces and I find myself today able to commit for the rest of the year; this was in fact a revelation to me since I travel and facilitate so much; it was as if a thread of availability just revealed itself to me in my diary and a rising calling to do what I do. This is what I do, I make space for catharsis in community and circles.
I feel that for some people committing to a monthly gathering in advance will really serve. I am that kind of person I must say, because if I leave things to the "lets see how I feel on the day" kind of vibe then I might just get booked up, filled up or on the day think "nah...." when, in fact, this would be something incredibly beneficial. Committing to making space for catharsis and honouring grief regularly helps me to ride the waves of it on a daily basis.
The way this is designed the recordings will be available to those signed up and they can be used over and again to create a safely boundaried container for catharsis in the days and weeks between sessions. For some people the sense that "if I start crying I won't stop" is well met with some ritual and ceremony; placing soul-led boundaries and creating a portal to the timeless, for a time. So whether you can attend in person or not, if you want a regular grief practice then please do sign up for the year.
Only the audio will be recorded and no one is obliged to speak during the 2 hour ceremony; there will be a sharing space after the recording has ended.
Furthermore, if commitment is not forthcoming, if attending on an ad hoc basis suits, then this too is possible. Just sign up for the one-off ticket. Each month a one-off sign up link will be posted to instagram and sent here by newsletter; and each month you can decide to pay for all 9 and get the back recordings as well.
