2027 Sacred Circle Events

Sacred Circle Training Co CIC is a social enterprise dedicated to grassroots community education and development in death, dying and grief. Preparing the practitioners and the movers and shakers, the community connectors and all those called to the Work with the practical, emotional and (if you wish) spiritual capacity both personally and collectively to face death and grief in these dying times. We share a deep commitment to social justice, to decolonising death and grief care; we understand that the loss of our Death Rites and shared mourning practices is both cause and effect of a long history of colonisation within and without. Death and Grief are universal forces and great levellers. We cannot simply serve those with their boots off, dying in a bed; we must also reckon and grapple with the legacy of empire and the continued impact of extractive practices, capitalism and colonialism today disproportionately felt by the global majority and the global south. We must heal our disconnection to land, place and space and meet Death well, with integrity and courage... together.

Our ultimate vision and what drives us is the creation of Earth Hospice, centres in communities offering grassroots care of the dying, dead and bereaved; non-medical, non-religious, based on permaculture principles and providing gathering places and spaces which are death conscious and grief literate. We have a learning exchange partnership with a kindred project in Zimbabwe called Kamhandire's Cove and a share of our profits go to Kamhandire's Cove to support the building of their infrastructure for their hospice village; the rest of our profit will be reinvested back into our communities through the Earth Hospice project and we are seeking land to purchase for Earth Hospice HQ.
