If you are receiving this email it is because at some point in the past 2 years you have expressed an interest in our work or asked to be added to a mailing list. It has been one of those immense tasks hanging over me that I just kept intending to get to and, as many of you know, my mother died this year after a very difficult few years for her (and for me as her carer), and I knew that when I started a newsletter for our mailing list I wanted it to be GOOD, but I was very short on bandwidth.
No-one loves cold marketing emails, I certainly don't! So I don't want to insult anyone by doing a poor job and adding to your inbox burdens. I only really want to send out content deep in thought and full of love out there, I have this quirky little idea that folks might actually look forward to some of the articles I have planned.
But let me start by saying that if it is so long since you signed up for the mailing list that you can't even remember who we are here, or if you simply are no longer interested at all; no worries, you can just Unsubscribe, no questions asked.

Who are we?
We are Sacred Circle Training Co CIC, that's our official name. We are a Social Enterprise based in Wales, UK with courses and offerings around the world. We started out with our flagship Doula course which now runs under the name Journey with Death, we prepare Death and Grief doulas over an 18 month programme, which starts in Retreat and runs for 12 months online.
We have a whole range of new courses coming online in 2025 you may be interested in and I shall put a short summary of each one below. If you have read this far and not Unsubscribed then "watch this space" for more information on each of these offerings in due course interspersed with articles on death, dying and grief to inspire and inform.
In January we have 2 Continuing Professional Development courses running as a pilot. When these courses are running in future they will retail at £275 so it is an absolute bargain if you are happy to join a pilot programme that are currently only £75. These are multi disciplinary CPD courses suitable for all professionals and you don't need to have done any previous courses to attend them, open to all.
Caring for Carers (6 CPD points) will run over 3 consecutive Monday evenings, 7pm - 9pm UK time on 13th / 20th / 27th January on Zoom (attendance not necessary as recordings will be provided) £75
Griefwork in Community (6 CPD points) will run over the course of a day from 9am - 5.30pm with decent breaks, 18th January 2025 (again, recordings provided) £75

In March 2025 we have a second Bear Awakens Retreat at Trefacwn in Pembrokeshire 7th - 10th March and this initially sold out! But recently 2 places have come available for this retreat. It sold out so quickly we didn't even get around to putting it on the website. A collaboration between two of the world's leading lament teachers: Tuomas Rounakari from Finland and Alexandra Derwen. Prices are £650 for a shared room, deposit of £250 is required to assure your place. Simply email sacredcirclecic@gmail.com and we take bookings on a first come first served basis.
In June, July and August we are thrilled to be running our NEW Community Death Educators programme. The cost of this is £750 if you are self financing and £950 if your organisation funds you. It is a 12 week intensive with 2 x 2 hours on Zoom per week then we will gather in North Wales in September for a 2 day face to face (accomodation not included) to integrate together. At end September (30th Sept - 5th Oct) we are running but ONE Death Doula course this year (except maybe in Sweden with English, Swedish and Finnish facilitators - to be confirmed, watch this space!)... the one we have planned is at Trefacwn in Pembrokeshire again (very close to the Rosslare - Pembroke ferry from Ireland) and we anticipate it will sell out as we have reduced our usual offering of 4 different retreats into ONE. The reason for consolidating our course in 2025 down to one (maybe two) retreats is because 2026 will see our international offerings mushroom! So much work is going on behind the scenes to translate the materials, prepare the facilitators and plan the very best offerings... in Sweden, Spain, Italy, France, Aotearoa / New Zealand, Australia, Bali, South Africa and Canada.
